A framework explaining how deep expertise can create blind spots where they are unable to expand their lens beyond their knowledge base. Experts often assume knowledge, context and motivations that are obvious to them but invisible to everyone else. Because of this, they stay in the subject matter they are comfortable with and over time people associate them with the topic. Eventually one may become eventually frustrated by their inability to expand outside of the subject they are known for.
