Deep expertise can become a trap.

When someone knows a topic extremely well, it can be hard to see things from a beginner’s perspective.

They may assume context and definitions that are obvious to them but unclear to everyone else.

Over time, they stay in the area they’re most comfortable with, and people start to label them as “the X person.”

Later, when they try to branch out, they can feel stuck (and the audience may not follow).
